October Afternoon

Hi Scrappin' Table Friends!
I just wanted to give those of you eagerly awaiting the October Afternoon CHA "Winter" release an update. I just spoke to Kathy from OA and our order hasn't even shipped yet. They have manufacturing issues and had to send paper back. I am very sorry If I could do anything to speed it up I would. Just wanted to let you all know. I will definitely be blogging it when I get it in...the second I get it in!!!
Thanks!

One Hail of a Day!

Today when you were driving along in your car or looking out the window while eating lunch and pondering this crazy weather, Cindy and I were trying to stay dry. The clincher to this story is we were inside the store. We had a bit of a roof leak at the store today. My entire back office and the back half of the store had water pouring from the ceiling. All I can say is that the paper angels were watching out for us and The Scrappin' Table. Our damage could have been much worse had the leak been just three feet another direction.

We had damaged product in the back and some other damage to some small items but I am thankful because it could have been much worse. I was not there when it all started. Kudos to my great friend and co-worker Cindy who handled everything quickly, effectively and really saved the day. She was soaked from head to toe when I showed up about 15 minutes later.

The clean up crew came out and now the dehumidifiers are going and we just need to wait it out a bit to see if the floors are going to lift.
So needless to say we had to close early today and will not reopen until 11:00 tomorrow (Friday).
So...I feel a sale coming on!
So if you don't mind the temporary arrangement of display racks come on in Friday & Saturday and get 25% off your entire purchase* some restrictions. Just mention "The Big Leak Sale" and everyone at the store will take care of you!

And also the crop must go on...So if you were scheduled to crop on Friday please still come in. There is no Cricut but the Accucut is still available.
Also please note we will have holiday hours of 10 am to 3:00 pm on Monday May 26th in honor of Memorial Day.
Thanks, as always, to our awesome customers who support us through thick and thin...and wet or dry!

Oh my oh my!! Look at what's arrived!

Okay there is so much new stuff!!!! This is just a sampling...you really need to come by the store to see all the great items we got in!

The pictures speaks for itself on these Fancy Pants Albums..only got four of these in and they are sure to go quickly!
Heidi Swapp & Heidi Grace are in! Above are some additional pieces to a HS line we have been carrying and below is a new HG 'We are Family' line.
This is brand new from Cosmo Cricket!! You can hear those crickets chirping and how cute and 'HAPPY' this line is!!!

Be advised this Lil' Davis 'Away We Go' went up late on Tuesday Night and it is flying off the shelves! So if you love all the die cut papers you'll want to act quickly cause away it is going and fast! :) Lil' Davis Calypso so perfectly bright for summer!!These next two lines by Imaginisce really can't be appreciated via computer!! You have to feel the flocking and see the glitter sparkle. These two lines 'All Kinds of Happy' and 'Baby Powder' are just adorable. The snag 'em stamps are perfect to compliment those pages or to create some very cute cards or invitations!

And at last we got in the Bo-Bunny flowers, brads and buttons from their 'All Stuck Up' line. Each of the containers are color coded and magnetized on the back so that you can display them on the metal strips (which we also got in) in you craft area. Also a side note these work great in the Tammy I trunks we sell too! Cute and functional! We'll see ya soon!

Today is a special day. I want everyone from the store to be celebrating the day with their Mom's or children. And of course my two girls and husband have a day of fun planned for me.
In honor of this the store will be closed today. We will resume regular hours on Monday 10 am- 8 pm.

Time to get flocking!

Look at these bright colors and the feel of this paper is just scrumptious! But you really can't appreciate the beauty of this paper on a computer! You need to come in and feel it for yourself! It's the next generation of specialty papers from Doodlebug. It's velvety soft...but strong enough for all of the projects I have (oops I mean you have) in mind! Also if you prefer to make it flocked yourself, we have the 12 pc assortment package of flocking.

April showers brought us some Petaloo flowers. Glitter covered, foam, layered, mulberry paper and more. So fresh and bright in the store!

Maya Road goodies came in too! Icon chip boards, more of the tree books, and other pretties!

***Remember Karen Foster is 20% off through the rest of Friday***

Design Team Challenge *Updated*

It's Jenn here....

I wanted to let you all know of the design team challenge for the month of May. This is something completely new and we wanted to get our customers involved too.

Here's how it works:

Each month one of the design team members will "challenge" the rest of us to a layout, a project, a technique, etc. The design team will work their magic and display in the store by the first Saturday in the month. We'll also post here on the blog so you can participate. We'll collect the "challenge" and display in our store in a customer gallery and also post it here so other's can see the wonderful work you've done.

This months challenge:
This month's challenge started when all of us surprised Michelle with dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. We were talking about high school and formals (...and how old we all are!) So this months challenge is a layout displaying a high school portrait....single sided, double sided, it doesn't matter. We'll get to re-live our high school years, big hair (Tiffany), crushed velvet and big cross necklace(me), and all!

I've tagged Ann for next month so be on the lookout for her challenge!

Here is my challenge submission:
It's using the Pink Paisley Spring Fling Collection. I fell in love with the felt flowers, the green stitching in the flowers and the Bazzill Basics floss perfectly complemented the paper. It was interesting re-living some high school memories....I hope you have as much fun putting your page(s) together as I did. GO LANCERS!

Good luck and let the creativity flow!
